The "Simmer-n-Serve" 12 volt crock pot slow cooker by RoadPro offers a home cooked meal anywhere you have a 12 volt power source. With the spill resistant design cooking on the road or in your boat is a lot less messy. The 1.5 quart stoneware crock holds enough food to feed several people, is removable and is also dishwasher safe. A convenient power switch on a fused 6' cord makes using this portable 12 volt slow cooker a snap.

Using Your 12 Volt Slow Cooker
Place food / meal inside crock and place crock into cooker unit. Cover with see-though glass lid. Hook elastic cord loop on one handle, securing in notched grooves and stretch over lid to opposite handle.
Plug power cord into cigarette lighter socket or other 12 volt power source. Press switch to ON position. Follow recipe for recommended cooking time. Keep in mind that the actual cooking temperature of the crock pot will vary depending on the voltage being supplied to the unit. Always use your discretion as to degree of preparation. Do not eat perishable items that may have spoiled without proper temperature control.

12 Volt Slow Cooker Cooking Precautions
Slow cooker will get Very Hot. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use oven mitts or pads to remove crock from outer cooker. Avoid sudden temperature changes, like adding cold foods into a heated stoneware crock. Frozen foods can be used but sufficient water should be added to prevent uneven cooking or burning. Do not use crock directly on stove top heating elements. Do not overfill the unit. Lid must close firmly for maximum efficiency. Carefully watch smaller quantities of food in crock as they may burn.

NOTE:
Cooking temperature will vary with fluctuations in dc voltage. Example: This unit has a built in and replaceable 15amp fuse. So operating this slow cooker from a stand alone 12 volt battery or a vehicle that is not running / charging the battery (usually reads from 12.5 to 13.5 volts) would generate 187.5 to 202.5 watts of cooking temperature. Operating this slow cooker from a vehicle that is running where the alternator / generator is charging the battery (this usually happens at about 14 - 16 volts) would generate 210 - 240 watts of cooking temperature.

This crock pot works perfectly for me and my partner. It's great for soup or stew for two. We have used canned soups as well as the square dried soup. We have also had some successes with homemade stuff like chicken and potatoes, stuffed cabbages etc. Thanks for a great product.
