Keep in mind that most motor homes 2008 model year and earlier with TV’s built into the “dog house” will not receive broadcast over the air programming after February of 2009. Most of these television set also operate using 110v ac power. 110v ac power to these units is usually only available while hooked up to 110v ac power at a campsite, while running your generator or if you have a power inverter installed to run from your 12 volt power source. Power inverters running a 110v ac TV draw a lot more power from your batteries than a genuine 12 volt travel television. In general a 12 volt TV will only draw from 5 to 8 amps of dc power and that’s with the built in DVD player in operation.

This is an awesome 12 volt tv. I though for sure when I got rid of my standard television and power inverter setup that I would loose picture and sound quality. I didn’t. I love it! Consumes very little 12V DC power and has everything. I like to use it as a monitor for my laptop too. It’s a much larger screen than that on my laptop so it makes everything a lot easier to see. I was upset when I saw that the Audiovox was sold out but in the end I’m glad it was. This TV rocks!
