Driving Relaxed with Cobra Radar Detector PDF Print E-mail

Driving a semi trucker across the U.S. is fun. I’ve been a trucker for 18 years. I enjoy getting to see the different states as I pass through them. One thing that is a pain about driving through so many states is the speed limits. Most of the states have speed limits ranging between 65 and 75 mph. That’s not a huge difference, but if I drive from a 75 mph speed limit into a 65 mph speed limit without noticing,

Easier Truck Travels with the WorldNav 5100 PDF Print E-mail

I’m a professional truck driver. I always map out my route before leaving on any delivery so I know I can make it there within the time schedule. This sounds easy enough, but when you’re driving through more than one state you have to have a map for each state you’re going to pass through. Plus, driving a semi truck in rural areas is often a challenge because of the size of the truck. Not only are they really tall, a truck carrying a load also weighs a lot. Living Off The Grid PDF Print E-mail

Off-grid living has tremendously grown in popularity over the last few years. Many are flipping the switch on the big power companies and enjoying the fruits of their home grown kilowatts. In doing so they are saving a lot of money on the power they use and are becoming experts in power demand and supply. Knowing exactly how much power is on hand, what it will take or how long it will take to generate more power and how much power is being used by appliances is a great big plus. Most folks know the math functions to use when they wish to convert amps to watts. Volts x Amps = Watts (ohms law), those who don’t know it should brush up.

As the idea of off-grid living continues to spread many are concerned about pricing and natural supply. Wind energy only works when the wind is blowing and solar energy only works when the sun is shining. These are valid concerns and the answers are generally the same. Use both!

Upgrading the TV in RV's and Semi-Trucks with a New 12 Volt Television PDF Print E-mail

The 12 Volt TV Upgrade

Every motor home, semi-truck & RV deserves a true 12 volt television. What many don’t know is just how simple and beneficial upgrading the standard TV can be. Most vehicles that come equipped with a TV are using a power inverter to supply the TV with power when the generator isn’t running. This is very wasteful!

Unless the vehicle came with a very high dollar inverter the inverters efficiency is likely less than 92%. This means that when the TV is in operation and
