Easier Truck Travels with the WorldNav 5100

I’m a professional truck driver. I always map out my route before leaving on any delivery so I know I can make it there within the time schedule. This sounds easy enough, but when you’re driving through more than one state you have to have a map for each state you’re going to pass through. Plus, driving a semi truck in rural areas is often a challenge because of the size of the truck. Not only are they really tall, a truck carrying a load also weighs a lot. Most roads aren’t designed to

carry that much weight, so there are some roads I can’t even take my truck on.

When I would sit down to map out my route I always tried to find roads I wouldn’t  have a problem driving on, but sometimes when I got there, the roads I picked I couldn’t drive on. I bought a WorldNav 5100 Portable Truck GPS system for my truck to make my life a little easier. I can program my truck specifications and it tells me which roads I can drive on. It saves time in the long run because I don’t have to make any last minute detours.

The GPS system that I purchased is also portable. I can transfer it to any one of my three trucks, set the specifications to that particular truck, and drive to my destination. This little system makes my job a lot easier. I don’t have to spend hours mapping out my way or worry about which truck I’m driving. I can just program my destination and all the stops I want to make in between, and be on my way.

I agree that trucker GPS units really help make the trip easier, but I prefer my Cobra 7750 Platinum.
