Our family is big on traveling. We love getting to see new places and spending time together. I work for the local school district and am lucky to have summer off. The minute school lets out we hook the camper up to the truck and go. With the kids getting older we have looked for different ways to entertain them during the long road trips to keep everyone happy. It used to be easy enough by simply teaching them the road games we played as children. Once they out grew those we bought some travel board games and coloring supplies.

Now that they have out grown those I was on the hunt again for entertainment. These days it seems everything has to be electronic for the kids to like it. We bought them hand held game units and MP3 players with video. They have their cell phones and iPods. Most times these are enough to keep them occupied. We had planned a recent camping trip and we knew it was going to be a 10 hour car ride. I was really worried we were going to hear fighting from the back seat before we hit our first scheduled stop. My first thought was movies. They occupy their minds and eat up time without anyone noticing. We would get there without a peep. Only one problem: we don’t have a DVD player in the truck.

I figured I would do some price checking to see what it would cost to have a system installed so the kids could just flip the monitor down and watch movies in the back. Although I found a few units that were priced affordably I really didn’t think we would have the time to get it installed before we left. I found this site during the search and found exactly what I needed. I settled for the DRC6272 portable DVD player set. No installation and easy to use, this DVD player was the answer to my prayers. Both kids get their own screen so there's no argument there. They're now able to switch between their games, phones and movies to stay entertained the entire ride. I’m so glad I found this site and bought the portable DVD players.
