with a DVD player could be a lifesaver from boredom from those 10 hours. Truckers have to take this 10 hour break with a max of up to 70 hours in 8 days. The trucker then has to be off duty for 34 hours before it may reset for the 70 hours for the following week.

For anyone that would be a long break. A T.V. with a DVD player allows for the trucker to relax while complying with the laws. The 12V TV is a 12 volt product that draws between 5 - 10 amps of 12 volt dc power. Wall mounts are also available. Truck owners or those truckers who are allowed to mount a TV in the cab would find mounts useful. They also come with audio and video inputs and outputs for users that want to hook up other accessories.

The law is going to become effective January 19th 2009. Since it doesn’t look like the law is going to change any time soon as the law was just reviewed and ruled upon. Truckers should be prepared for the 10 hour break and have something that keeps them occupied.

They are talking about cutting down driving hours even more for the year of 2011. At the rate this is going trucks are only going to be able to make 1 delivery a week! I'm all for safe roadways, but people have got to make a living too.
