Sliding winches move easily in both directions for positioning in the track, but lock firmly in place when tension is applied to the webbing. All sliding winches can also be welded in place for fixed application.

spoke with John today - he was very helpful and suggested how i could hook up the power system that i need for portable power - the parts i would need and how I would do it, saves me a LOT of money and (hopefully) will do what i want it to do.
