This 3ft. audio adapter converts 3.5mm stereo plug into 2 RCA plugs (red/white). This adapter can be used in either direction. For example, the 3.5mm end can be plugged into an MP3 player and then the RCA plugs can feed the audio signal into a surround sound receiver. Or, the RCA plugs can be connected to a device with audio outputs and the 3.5mm end can be connected to a speaker or other device which uses a 3.5mm stereo input.
