The wife and I travel a lot now that the kids are grown. We used to just stop at some of the fast food joints as we traveled to our camping destination. Then once we got there we would eat typical cookout foods while we stayed. Our food supply for our camping trips typically consisted of burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, etc. We also had all the makings for S’mores of course. I’ve always had a sweet tooth. Needless to say

we weren’t watching what we ate when we traveled.

Well, the old lady started getting worried because I’ve put on a few since hitting 50. She started cooking healthier, more balanced meals at home and we make sure to get in some exercise everyday. We still really didn’t change they way we were when camping though. Recently we visited one of our favorite camp sites in Northern Tennessee. While there we became quick friends with the couple at the next site over. They invited us to have dinner with them the third night we were there and my wife hasn’t stopped nagging me since.

You see, we didn’t have a typical cookout meal with them. They had prepared an amazing beef stew dinner with a peach cobbler dessert. Unlike us they didn’t do all their cooking over the campfire or grill. They used 12 volt appliances. For the meal we shared they only had to use the 12 volt crock pot and 12 volt oven. Now that my wife knows how easy it is to make healthy meals on the road she is insisting I find her some 12 volt appliances for us to take camping. Luckily in my search I found this site and picked up the items she all but demanded. Thank you for having what I need at a price I can afford, and for shipping it so fast. We are heading out for a camping trip next week with all our new gear in tow.

As a working mom the crock pot has always been one of my favorite kitchen gadgets. When I found out they made one I could taking camping with me I knew I had to have it.
